Privacy Policy
- We collect only what is needed to run the app: your account details, the rental records you enter, and limited diagnostic data.
- We never ask for or store Social Security numbers or bank account numbers, and we do not process rent payments.
- We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
- Your data is private to your account. You can export it or delete your account from inside the app at any time.
This Privacy Policy explains how LogicStack (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use the Rental Command mobile application on Android and iOS (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you choose, your name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see or store your password in readable form.
Content you enter
The App stores the records you choose to add so you can manage your rentals, including:
- Properties and units (addresses, details, licenses, insurance policies)
- Tenants and contacts (names, phone numbers, email addresses, notes)
- Leases, rent charges, payments you record manually, expenses and tax categories
- Maintenance requests, tasks, vendors and communication logs
- Documents and photos you upload (for example, leases, receipts or property photos)
Purchase information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, the purchase is handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We receive a purchase token or transaction record, product ID and subscription status so we can verify and unlock your plan. We do not receive your card number or other payment details.
Diagnostic and usage information
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): device model, operating system version, app version, and stack traces when the App crashes.
- Usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase): app opens, screens viewed, feature usage, and an app-instance identifier. You can opt out in Settings → Security & privacy.
- Notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging): a device token used only to deliver reminders you have enabled.
Our logs are built to redact personal details: tenant names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, document links and payment notes are not written to diagnostic logs.
2. Information we do not collect
- Social Security numbers, taxpayer IDs or other government ID numbers
- Bank account, routing or payment card numbers
- Precise location
- Your device contacts, calendar, messages or browsing history
- Biometric data — if you turn on biometric app lock, Face ID / fingerprint matching is performed entirely by your device’s operating system and the result is never sent to us
3. How we use information
- To provide the App’s features: storing and syncing your records across your devices, generating reports, tax packages, notices and exports
- To send reminders and summaries you have enabled (for example, rent due or license expiring)
- To verify subscriptions and enforce plan limits
- To diagnose crashes, fix bugs and improve performance
- To respond to your support requests
- To protect the App, our users and us from fraud, abuse and security threats, and to comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell or rent it.
4. How we share information
We share information only in these cases:
| Recipient | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Google LLC) | Authentication, database, file storage, cloud functions, notifications, crash reporting, analytics | Account info, content you enter, diagnostics |
| Google Play / Apple App Store | Processing and verifying subscriptions | Purchase tokens and subscription status |
| Google Sign-In | Signing you in, if you choose it | Name, email, profile photo |
| Anyone you choose | When you export, print or share a report or notice using your device’s share sheet | Whatever is in the file you share |
| Legal and safety | To comply with law, a valid legal request, or to protect rights and safety | Only what is required |
| Business transfer | If we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy | Account and stored data |
These service providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms. See the Firebase privacy information and the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Information about tenants and others
The App lets you record information about other people, such as tenants, vendors and contacts. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and store that information and for complying with laws that apply to you as a landlord. We process that information only to provide the App to you and do not contact those people or use their information for any other purpose. If a tenant or other person asks us about their information, we will refer them to the account holder who entered it.
6. Device permissions
- Camera and photos — only when you choose to attach a photo or document.
- Files — only when you choose to upload or export a file.
- Notifications — to deliver reminders you have enabled.
- Biometrics — only if you turn on app lock; handled on-device.
You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
7. Data retention
We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your stored records, uploaded files and subscription links are deleted from our active systems, normally within 30 days. Some limited data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days, or longer where the law requires us to keep it. Crash and analytics data are kept according to Firebase’s retention settings (no longer than 14 months) and are not linked to your stored records.
8. Deleting your account and data
In the app: open More → Settings → Delete account. You will be asked to sign in again to confirm. This permanently deletes your account, all records you have entered, and all uploaded documents and photos.
Without the app: email kernelkrafttech@gmail.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will verify the request and delete your account and data within 30 days.
You can also ask us to delete specific data without deleting your account. Most records can be deleted directly in the app.
Subscriptions: deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions) or in your Apple ID settings (Subscriptions) to stop future charges.
9. Your choices and rights
- Access and export: export your data from inside the app at any time.
- Correction: edit any record directly in the app.
- Deletion: see Section 8.
- Analytics opt-out: turn off usage analytics in Settings → Security & privacy.
- Notifications: manage them in Settings → Notifications or in your device settings.
Depending on where you live (for example, California, other U.S. states, the EU/EEA or the UK), you may also have the right to request access to or a copy of your data, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below; we may need to verify your identity first.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on these legal bases: performance of our contract with you (providing the App), legitimate interests (security, crash diagnostics and improvement), consent (analytics and notifications, which you can withdraw), and legal obligation.
10. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest on Google Cloud infrastructure. Database and storage access rules limit each account to its own data, and subscription status can only be changed by our server. You can also add a biometric app lock. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep your device protected.
11. International transfers
We and our service providers are based in the United States, and your information may be processed there or in other countries where Google operates. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Children
The App is designed for adult landlords and property managers. It is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App or by email before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when this policy was last revised.
