Kabaddi · Mobile Game
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Kabaddi mobile application (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects from you, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We have kept this document short and in plain language.
1. Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to run the App, provide gameplay features, operate the leaderboard, and support advertising.
(a) Player display name
When you first open the App, you choose a display name (1–12 characters; default is “Anon”). This name is stored on your device and, if you submit a score to the global leaderboard, sent along with your score. You can use any name you like — it does not need to be your real name, and we recommend it isn’t.
(b) Gameplay statistics
When you complete an Arcade match, the following may be sent to our leaderboard service:
- Your chosen display name
- Your final score (integer)
- The difficulty level you played on (Easy, Normal, Hard)
- A timestamp of when the score was submitted (UTC)
(c) Google Play Games Services (optional)
If you open the in-app Google Play leaderboard or achievements screen, you may be asked to sign in with your Google account. This sign-in is handled by Google. We do not see, read, or store your Google account password. We only submit your score and unlock achievements through Google’s API. You can use the game without signing in to Google Play Games Services.
(d) Advertising and device information
The App may display ads, including banner, interstitial, and/or rewarded ads. Ads may be provided by Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google’s advertising partners.
To show, measure, secure, and improve ads, Google and its advertising partners may collect or receive certain information from your device, including:
- Advertising ID or similar device identifiers
- IP address, device type, operating system, app version, and general technical information
- Ad views, clicks, impressions, and interactions with ads
- Approximate location inferred from your IP address or device settings, where applicable
- Information used for fraud prevention, frequency capping, reporting, and ad measurement
Depending on your device settings, location, and consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Personalized ads may be based on your activity in this App and/or other apps and websites. Non-personalized ads are not based on your past activity, but may still use identifiers for purposes such as frequency capping, fraud prevention, and aggregated reporting.
(e) Rewarded ads
If the App offers optional rewarded ads, you may choose to watch an ad in exchange for an in-game reward, such as coins, boosts, or other game items. If you complete the ad, the advertising service may notify the App that the reward should be granted. We do not receive your name, email address, or payment information from the ad provider when this happens.
(f) Local data
The App stores game settings (sound, vibration, difficulty, tutorial-seen flag), high scores, and campaign progress on your device, in a local settings file. This data does not leave your device unless you submit a score to the leaderboard or use an online feature that requires it.
What we do NOT collect directly
- We do not ask for your real name, phone number, or postal address.
- We do not collect contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, or files on your device.
- We do not collect precise GPS location.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not offer in-app purchases unless clearly shown inside the App.
2. How we use the information
The information described above is used to:
- Display your name and score on the global leaderboard inside the App
- Submit achievements and leaderboard scores to Google Play Games Services if you choose to sign in
- Save your progress and preferences locally on your device
- Display ads and support optional rewarded ad features
- Measure ad performance, prevent fraud and abuse, limit ad frequency, and improve ad reliability
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App
We do not use leaderboard information for profiling or automated decision-making.
3. Where the data is stored and processed
Leaderboard data (display name, score, difficulty, timestamp) is transmitted
over HTTPS to Google Firebase Firestore in the project kabaddi-4d792,
and to Google Play Games Services if you sign in. Both services are operated by
Google LLC. Google’s processing of this data is governed by Google’s privacy policy:
policies.google.com/privacy.
Advertising data may be processed by Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google’s advertising partners. Google’s advertising technologies are described here: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Local data (settings, campaign progress, high scores) is stored in the App’s private storage area on your device.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your information. We may share or allow access to limited information only with service providers needed to run the App:
- Google Firebase Firestore — stores leaderboard entries.
- Google Play Games Services — handles optional leaderboard and achievement sign-in.
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK — serves, measures, and secures ads.
These services may process data according to their own privacy policies and applicable law.
5. Advertising choices and consent
Depending on where you live, the App may ask for your consent before showing personalized ads or before using certain identifiers for advertising. You can choose whether to allow personalized ads where that option is available.
You can also manage advertising choices from your device settings. On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your Google/Android privacy settings. You may also manage Google ad personalization choices through Google’s ad settings, where available.
6. Data retention and deletion
Leaderboard entries are retained for as long as the leaderboard is operational. To request deletion of your leaderboard entry, email us with the display name you used and the approximate date you submitted the score. We will remove it within 30 days.
Local data on your device can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing the App’s data in your phone’s Settings.
Advertising data collected or processed by Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK is handled by Google according to Google’s own policies and retention practices. We do not directly control Google’s advertising data retention systems.
7. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to the leaderboard, please email us and we will remove the entry.
If the App is later directed to children or made available to child audiences, we will update this Privacy Policy and the App’s ad settings to comply with applicable child privacy laws and platform requirements.
8. Security
All data transmitted from the App is sent over HTTPS using standard TLS encryption. We rely on Google Cloud’s security infrastructure to protect data stored in Firebase Firestore. While no system is 100% secure, we use industry-standard practices.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under data-protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and similar laws) to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of information. Since the leaderboard information we directly hold is limited to the display name and score you choose to submit, the simplest way to exercise these rights is to email us at the address below.
For advertising data processed by Google, you may also use Google’s privacy and ad controls provided by Google.
10. Permissions the App requests
- Internet access — required to submit scores to the global leaderboard, connect to Google Play Games Services, and load ads.
- Advertising ID — may be used by Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK to serve, measure, and secure ads where permitted.
- Vibration — optional; used for haptic feedback during gameplay. You can disable it in the App’s Settings screen.
The App does not request camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or precise location permissions.
11. Changes to this policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted in the App’s release notes where appropriate.
