Privacy Policy

Effective date: 13 May 2026 · Last updated: 13 May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Kabaddi mobile application (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects from you, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We have kept this document short and in plain language.

1. Information we collect

We collect the minimum amount of information necessary to run the global leaderboard.

(a) Player display name

When you first open the App, you choose a display name (1–12 characters; default is “Anon”). This name is stored on your device and, if you submit a score to the global leaderboard, sent along with your score. You can use any name you like — it does not need to be your real name, and we recommend it isn’t.

(b) Gameplay statistics

When you complete an Arcade match, the following may be sent to our leaderboard service:

(c) Google Play Games Services (optional)

If you open the in-app Google Play leaderboard or achievements screen, you may be asked to sign in with your Google account. This sign-in is handled entirely by Google. We do not see, read, or store your Google account, email address, or any other personal information from your Google account. We only submit your score and unlock achievements through Google’s API. You can use the entire game without ever signing in.

(d) Local data

The App stores game settings (sound, vibration, difficulty, tutorial-seen flag), high scores, and campaign progress only on your device, in a local settings file. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly submit a score to the leaderboard.

What we do NOT collect

2. How we use the information

The information described above is used only to:

We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, or any form of automated decision-making.

3. Where the data is stored

Leaderboard data (display name, score, difficulty, timestamp) is transmitted over HTTPS to Google Firebase Firestore in the project kabaddi-4d792, and to Google Play Games Services if you sign in. Both services are operated by Google LLC. Google’s processing of this data is governed by Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Local data (settings, campaign progress, high scores) is stored only on your device in the App’s private storage area. We have no access to it.

4. Data sharing

We do not share your information with any third party other than Google (Firebase Firestore and, optionally, Google Play Games Services), which acts as a service provider hosting the leaderboard infrastructure on our behalf. We do not sell your information. We do not allow any third party to use the information for their own purposes.

5. Data retention and deletion

Leaderboard entries are retained for as long as the leaderboard is operational. To request deletion of your leaderboard entry, email us with the display name you used and the approximate date you submitted the score. We will remove it within 30 days.

Local data on your device can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing the App’s data in your phone’s Settings.

6. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to the leaderboard, please email us and we will remove the entry.

7. Security

All data transmitted from the App is sent over HTTPS using standard TLS encryption. We rely on Google Cloud’s security infrastructure to protect data stored in Firebase Firestore. While no system is 100% secure, we use industry-standard practices.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under data-protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you, and to object to processing. Since the only information we hold is the display name and score you chose to submit, the simplest way to exercise these rights is to email us at the address below.

9. Permissions the App requests

The App does not request any other permissions.

10. Changes to this policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted in the App’s release notes.
