Privacy Policy

Famfinder (“the App”) is operated by Logicstack LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy describes what data the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Famfinder you agree to this policy.
1. Data we collect
Account information: email address, display name, and optional recovery email you provide when signing up.
Location data: your device’s precise location (latitude/longitude, altitude, accuracy, timestamp). Foreground and background location is collected only while you have location sharing enabled in the app.
Place alerts: coordinates and labels for places you choose to save as “Place Alerts” (home, school, etc.) and arrival/departure events at those places.
Device information: battery level (shared with your circle), device model, OS version, and app version, used for diagnostics and to power features such as low-battery alerts.
Subscription state: whether you have an active Famfinder Pro subscription, and the renewal/expiration date returned by Google Play Billing or the Apple App Store (whichever your device uses).
Advertising data: the free version of the App shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure these ads, AdMob may access your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, and ad-interaction events. Ads are non-personalized — we do not build an advertising profile about you. Famfinder Pro removes all ads. See Section 4 (Advertising).

2. How we use the data
To show your live and last-known location to other members of the circles you join.
To deliver Place Alert notifications when a circle member arrives at or leaves a saved place.
To authenticate you and to recover your account if you lose access.
To run, debug, and improve reliability of the app.
To verify your Famfinder Pro subscription with Google Play or the Apple App Store.
To display non-personalized advertising in the free version of the App and to measure ad performance and prevent ad fraud. (Famfinder Pro removes ads.)
3. Sharing of data
With circle members: location, battery level, online status, and saved places are shared only with members of the circles you have explicitly joined.
With service providers: we use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Cloud Functions) for backend services and Google Maps Platform for map rendering and geocoding. These providers process your data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments.
With our advertising partner: the free version of the App shows ads served by Google AdMob (a Google service). AdMob receives only the limited technical data described in Section 1 and Section 4 in order to deliver and measure non-personalized ads. We do not share your location, battery level, circle membership, saved places, or account identity with AdMob or any advertiser.
With Google Play / the Apple App Store: for in-app purchase processing of the Famfinder Pro subscription.
We do not sell your personal data for money, and we do not share your location, circle, or account data with data brokers. To keep the free version available, we use non-personalized advertising as described in Section 4.
We may disclose data if required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of users.
4. Advertising
The free version of Famfinder is supported by ads served through Google AdMob, a Google advertising service. Subscribing to Famfinder Pro removes all ads.
Non-personalized only. We request only non-personalized ads. These are based on the general context of the App and coarse, non-identifying signals — not on a behavioral profile or your interests.
What AdMob receives. To serve, frequency-cap, and measure ads and to detect fraud, AdMob may process your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, general device information, and ad-interaction events.
What AdMob does not receive. We never pass your precise location, saved places, circle membership, battery level, or account identity to AdMob or any advertiser.
Consent. Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), we present a consent message before ads are shown.
Your choices. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device’s system settings, and you can remove ads entirely by subscribing to Famfinder Pro.
You can stop sharing your location at any time from inside the app.
You can leave any circle you have joined.
You can delete your account from the in-app Settings page. Account deletion removes your profile, places, and shared location history.
You can revoke location, notification, and other app permissions from your device’s system settings.
You can reset or delete your device’s Advertising ID, or limit ad tracking, from your device’s system settings.
You can remove all advertising by subscribing to Famfinder Pro.
6. Data retention
Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and shared location history are removed within 30 days. Anonymous diagnostic data may be retained longer for product analytics.
7. Children’s privacy
Famfinder is intended for family use and is suitable for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. A parent or guardian who creates a circle is responsible for the participation of any minors they invite.
Because the App may be used by teenagers, advertising shown in Famfinder is non-personalized: we send only non-personalized ad requests to our advertising partner and do not permit interest-based or behavioral advertising, or the use of ad data to build profiles of users.
8. Security
Data is transmitted over TLS and stored in Google Cloud infrastructure with at-rest encryption. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.
9. International users
Famfinder is operated from the United States. By using the app you consent to processing of your data in the US.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in the app. The current version is always available at this URL.
By installing or using Famfinder you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the service
You must provide accurate account information.
You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
Do not misuse, reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse the service.
You may not use Famfinder to track any person without their informed consent. The app is intended for use among family members and trusted groups who all knowingly join the same circle.
The free version of the app is supported by advertising; Famfinder Pro is ad-free.
2. Safety notice
Location data may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable depending on device, network, or operating-system conditions.
Famfinder is a convenience and peace-of-mind tool. It is not an emergency service. Do not rely on it to dispatch help. If someone is in danger, call your local emergency number.
3. Subscriptions
Famfinder Pro is a recurring monthly subscription billed through the store you installed the app from — Google Play on Android, or your Apple ID via the App Store on iOS.
Famfinder Pro removes in-app advertising for the duration of your subscription.
The subscription renews automatically each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date through your Google Play account or your Apple ID subscription settings.
If you cancel, Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds are governed by the refund policy of the store you purchased through (Google Play or Apple).
4. Account suspension
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are used to abuse, harass, or harm others.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Logicstack LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
